The Sansetsukon, also known as a 3-sectional staff or 3-piece nunchuk, is a challenging kobudo weapon to learn and master. But just like all kobudo weapons, it is an extension of karate and one uses it for blocks, strikes, chokes, etc. Few people in Okinawa karate teach this tool, and it is much more common in some of the gung fu arts.
